I AM STIRRED!
Lately i've been doing some research on Wives' & Mother's of old Preachers & Revivalists and I am completely humbled by their reverence for God & their devotion to holiness. Recently i've been indulging in the lives of Susanna Wesley & Katarina Von Bora.

Some background on each:

Susannah Wesley was the youngest of 25 brothers & sisters, and the Mother of 19 children, whom 2 of her sons are known as John & Charles Wesley, the founders of Methodism. She was devoted to her God, her Husband, & her Children. When I think of near-perfect Mothering & want to be inspired, I picture Susanna. Most would consider this old world influence, but I desire to raise our children under the authority & holiness of God! Not only was did she know how to spend time with each child daily, but she was a dedicated homeschooling Mother whom started "training" on the day of their 5th Birthday. She made sure they were well versed in English, Latin, Greek & possibly even French. She saw her daughters in the same light as God did, and therefore did what was a rarity in her day-she taught her daughters as well. {btw- I WANT THIS BOOK. Susanna Wesley- The Complete Writings}

Katarina Von Bora was Martin Luther's wife, the famed man of God who brought reformation to the Catholic Church. She was a run-away nun who set out to marry Luther. She was inspired by his piety and courage. She was an excellent manager of the home, and even turned part of their home, his old monastery into a hospital. She supported her Husband in his work from God, and was his constant encourager. Katarina upheld the finances & affairs of the family which helped Luther maintain his commitment and call to resound the true Gospel of Christ. Luther was often away on ministry tours & once both celibate, wrote of his marriage saying, "There is no bond on earth so sweet, nor any separation so bitter, as that which occurs in a good marriage." Luther had nicknamed Katarina, the "morningstar of Wittenberg", on behalf of her rising each morning at 4am, tending to her many wifely which included their lush gardens, orchards & livestock, which she would butcher herself.



So talking about these two fiery, well-versed ladies, my heart has been stirred even more to fulfill this holy calling that parenthood is! I could only hope that in reading my most recent post, this has put a desire in your heart for either yourself as a Mother & Wife, or for your beloved Wife to go higher.

Is the church really married to Jesus??

So my Hubby has been reading lots of Leonard Ravenhill and listening to his messages. After listening to one of his messages, I was heart-broken at the Godly truth in what he was speaking and hooked at the same time! He's got some crazy amazing quotes that I just can't turn my back on. It's the kind where it hits you straight in the gut and you buckle over in anguish, and then you just lie there thinking about what just has happened. So the following is a quote from Leonard Ravenhill that i've done some biblical research to verify that this claim is absolutely true.

{The early church was married to poverty, prisons and persecutions. Today, the church is married to prosperity, personality, and popularity.}

Matthew 5:1-11

Matthew 6:24

Matthew 4:1-11

Luke 21:34-36


34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

John 15:18-21


18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

1 Corinthians 4:9-13

9 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 11 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

I had a friend respond to Leonard's quote saying, "We just need to be married to Jesus." I concured with her statement, saying, "However, the only problem with that is, the Church IS sleeping." The following scriptures are evidence of this...

Revelation 22:16-18

1 Corinthians 15:30-35

Romans 13:11-12

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

There is a hard to quantify, yet hard to deny reality that the spirit world operates something akin to mathematics at times. Truth works no matter how you approach the equation. X is elusive, yet it is the glory of kings to search it out. And for every positive action or number, there is an equal and opposing reaction. We are seeing that play out in a very real, very tragic way. The prophet Malachi delivered an oracle from God describing the time nearing the end of days: Malachi 4:5,6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse. We may not agree on what the great and dreadful day of the Lord means in specifics, but most of us agree that a) today isn’t it and b) it’s closer today than it was yesterday. In light of those two points, it would do us all well to take a long, hard look at the things God says are to come. One of the positives to come will be a great adoption movement - figurative and literal - as the hearts of the generations turn 180 degrees to face one another and the church rediscovers a wholeness lost long ago. Not many years ago, people primarily adopted because they were unable to conceive. That’s no longer the biggest reason. Increasingly, I’m meeting people who are adopting for more proactive, spiritual reasons - as prophetic declarations of God’s heart for children. I believe is a foreshadowing of Malachi’s promise. Of course, there is a negative reality as well. Even as the church discovers the spirit of adoption, there is a radical display of child abandonment happening in Nebraska. Not long ago, Nebraska instituted a Safe Haven Law, promising clemency to anyone who, unable to care for a child, would surrender them to a hospital or police station. The thought was they would safe a number of infants from poor care or abuse. Never in their wildest dreams did they expect what would happen next. Rather than infants being delivered to hospitals by teen parents, children as old as seventeen are being flown across the country and dropped off by parents who are at their wits end as to how to deal with them. In the past few days alone, three teenagers and a five year old were brought from as far away as Miami, Florida by four different parents. In one case, a 17 year old girl and her 14 year old brother were dropped at an Omaha hospital. When the girl figured out what was happening, she ran way, preferring to face the world on her own than in state custody. Her brother did not go with her. It’s hard to tell who got the better deal. State lawmakers are in shock. “Please don’t bring your teenager to Nebraska,” Gov. Dave Heineman told CNN. “Think of what you are saying. You are saying you no longer support them. You no longer love them.” There’s no way to tell the conditions from which these kids may be being spared. In some - if not most cases - they actually may be better off in a foster home. I can’t imagine a child living long term with an parent who would prefer to abandon them. That being said, the greater issue is what this says about our culture. Kids are commodities, not responsibilities. Parenting is a magazine, not a life of sacrifice. When it gets hard, help is only as far away as Nebraska. Good God, what have we become. The church must embrace these kids and thousands of others with spiritual and temporal adoption. It will not be pretty, easy, or fun. It will be obedience. They are not the prom queens or football stars we thought we would raise…but their reception by the body of Christ will be the barometer of what will come. Hear the words of the prophet, and the warning therein. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

Coincidence??

Coincidence? I think not! Just sitting here in Romans 5 contemplating God's redemptive ways and then I get hit with this:

Why is it that people hate Hitler for what He did, yet we hate the children in our own wombs?
Simple answer... Secular humanism.

The same science that was used by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi resigem<Eugenics> , is the same science that extremist feminist Margaret Sanger's planned parenthood has used and still uses to kill off 1/3 of our generation. That's 50,000000 babies in America dead since January 22, 1973. That's 4,500 babies a day, 3 babies are murdered in this country EVERY 2 seconds. If this was happening to adults, there would be a moral outcry. Yet we sit back & sip our lattes, because we don't have any sort of grid for this.
You are never supposed to talk about politics or religion or any other subject that cause offense outside the comfort of your own home. i.e. the workforce otherwise you could get in trouble or at best, fired! YES, at best, Jesus said, "Blessed are those who stand for RIGHTEOUSNESS sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." Let me tell you something, being a coward is the first thing that will get you into Hell.{Rev. 21:8} Harsh word I know but I didn't say it, Jesus did. Why do you think He was sent to the cross? Because He was a cool guy? Still wanna show Him off as your homeboy?? He has a sword coming out of His mouth & fire in His eyes, Hes ready to make war. {Revelation 1:16, 19:15, 1:14, 19:12}

Jesus is the only One to be feared.{Proverbs 9:10}

This entry may very well have ruffled some of your feathers, but I challenge you. Prove me not wrong, but this message. Research the history on abortion, and it will change your life.

Joshua and I have such a heart to see kids of ALL ages and ethnic backgrounds leave foster care and come into a loving, godly home forever. We desire some day to have a house on a large plot of land, growing our own crops with cows, chickens, goats with many, many children. God, it is the cry of my heart. Out of all the Lord has done for me: healing, deliverance, salvation, faith, miracles-ULTIMATELY, He adopted me into His family. It may sound like a petty dream, but I don't want the finer things in life. Jesus didn't desire the riches of this life, so why would I? My hero is not someone who you would say is a powerful politician, or a wealthy CEO of some company, but someone who takes the message of James 1:27 into action. I don't want a big ministry with a large staff, I want to be nameless, all for the glory of God.
